DIALOGO TRA ARTE E ARCHITETTURA
WEDNESDAY 1 APRIL, 5.45 pm
Lecture Theatre IIIA, Building 11
Art and architecture share a common origin, which has now been fragmented by specialisation. Whereas during the Renaissance the artist was a unified figure, today the practice is divided, and the vision risks becoming scattered.
This event brings together painter Raffaele Bueno and architect Andrea Ponsi in a dialogue exploring the cross-pollination between art and architecture: training, influences, encounters and inspirations.
RAFFAELE BUENO, a painter born in 1945 in Fiesole, son of the painter Xavier Bueno, was part of the Italian neo-avant-garde movement within the Gruppo 70, developing a body of work that bridges figuration and the dreamlike realm.
ANDREA PONSI (Viareggio, 1949) is an architect, designer, painter and writer. Trained in Florence with Leonardo Savioli and at the Architectural Association in London, he has worked in both Italy and the United States. He is the author of *Design Elementare*, *Firenze – Cambi di vista* and *La casa di rame*.
An opportunity to discuss the now-broken link between Art and Architecture.
