POLIMI Call to join in the REINVENTING CITIES STUDENT INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION – 2026 Edition
The Students Reinventing Cities 2026 competition, promoted by C40, has officially launched. Students Reinventing Cities is an international competition that invites students, postgraduates, and young professionals to share their vision for a more sustainable and inclusive urban future.
You can find full information on the official website:

Also this year, the PoliMI International Competitions Office has decided to support student participation by providing a dedicated service and a small fund to assist with:
- expert reviews and tutoring,
- minor expense reimbursements,
- project promotion and communication.
This support is available to PoliMI students who wish to participate by forming multidisciplinary project teams.
Here is a short video that illustrates the activities and some of the PoliMI‑Competitions teams that were winners in previous editions

Registration for the competition is open until 18 March. Teams can freely select their preferred city site, and registration is free and straightforward. Project proposals—focused on the regeneration of specific urban areas and submitted in small-scale formats—must be delivered by 28 May.
For the 2026 edition, the project sites are located in the following ten cities: Amman, Barcelona, Bogotá, Bucharest, Jakarta, Lagos, Lisbon, Nairobi, Rome, and Chicago.
Students or groups who are already participating, or who plan to register by 18 March and wish to make use of the PoliMI-Competitions support service, are kindly asked to inform the university contact Professor Chiara Nifosì, copying the relevant tutors.
