HOW TO REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT?

Take part in a special workshop ‘Becoming Carbon Literature’ project with our partner from Sheffield Hallam University Between May 21st – 28th 2021

APPLICATION before Thursday 29th April 2021: CARBON LITERACY APPLICATION FORM

HOW? students will work in intercultural groups to create personal and group action plans, leading to the reduction of their own carbon footprint and that of others. More specifically, the students will investigate the role of their Universities. 

WHO?  students will work in groups of 4 (2 SHU students & 2 students from partner Universities). 

They will share experiences and information from their own institution and work on a group action which can apply to both institutions, in delivering a zero-carbon world within the context of the national Carbon Emergency Pledge.

WHEN?   Between May 21st – 28th 2021

COSTS? No fee

PROGRAM?   Students will be asked to fully commit to the complete project.  We will start the project on Friday 21st May with a Welcome and an Intercultural Session.  Over the weekend students will be asked to undertake some pre reading to prepare for the sessions in the following week.  There will be a combination of taught sessions, group work and guest speakers. 

CERTIFICATION?

All students who successfully complete the course will be certified as Carbon Literate by the Carbon Literacy Project - https://carbonliteracy.com/.
