Conference "Sport and Environment. Trends and paradigms for sustainability" _ 9 November 2022 _ Aula Magna, Politecnico di Milano, 2:30 pm
On the occasion of the presentation of the VI edition 2022-2023 of the Master in Sports Design and Management(https://www.gsom.polimi.it/course/master-sport-design-management/), it is promoted by Politecnico di Milano and the Graduate School of Management (G.S.O.M.) in synergy with the leading national Sport governing institutions (C.O.N.I., F.I.G.C., I.C.S. and LEGA SERIE A), on Wednesday 9 November, starting at 2.30 pm, at the Aula Magna of the Rectorate of Politecnico di Milano, the crucial conference: "Sport and Environment. Trends and paradigms for sustainability".
The discussion will be opened at 2.30 pm by Emilio Faroldi, pro-rector and director of the Master's degree course in Sports Design and Management.
Michele Uva, director of U.E.F.A.'s Football & Social Responsibility division, will then speak on the inescapable link between football and sustainability; Silvia Prandelli, director of the Milan office of Populous, on E.S.G. strategies for large sports infrastructures; Pierluigi Coppola, lecturer at the Milan Polytechnic and expert in sustainable mobility, with a focus on the vision of this issue in the large cities of the future; Maurizio Teora, director of Arup University, on the sustainable development of stadiums; and, finally, Alberto Meomartini, former president of S.N.A.M. and Assolombarda, with a speech entitled 'Sport is not an island'. Antonio Marchesi, senior advisor at Monitor Deloitte, will close the debate.
The event will be held at the Aula Magna of the Politecnico di Milano (Building 1, Floor 1) in Piazza Leonardo, 32 - 20133 Milan (MI) and will be followed by the awarding of diplomas to the students of the 4th edition of the Master in sport Design and Management.
