The OC Summer International School OPEN CITY reaches its 10th edition and it celebrates with a wide program of events, within the cultural background of the "Fragile Landscapes".


The architectural and urban design workshop of the Piacenza Campus of the Politecnico di Milano will involve - from August 27th to September 12th, 2019 - 100 international students, selected to design the new contemporary spaces along the background of fragile environments, in continuous and incessant mutation. As usual, the project activities will be supported by an intense series of conferences and meetings, it will be assisted by a large team of professors and tutors and it will finish with a presentation to the city of the final results.
The Campus Arata, which hosts the activities of OC OPEN CITY, will be animated by some important and ambitious parallel events that will involve renowned authors, as well as young designers, to discuss the themes of fragility as a key to understanding contemporary landscapes, through exhibitions and the results of an international call.


OFFICIAL CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION AND RECOGNITION OF CREDITS
For each participant, the OC International Summer School will release an official certificate of attendance. For participants enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree and Master in Architecture from the School of Architettura Urbanistica e Ingegneria delle costruzioni of the Politecnico di Milano, the 8 CFU can be used as the intership credits required for graduation or as elective courses. The workshop may have different credit values for other universities. The projects and study models developed during the school may be shown in exhibitions and collected into publications by Politecnico di Milano.
